MATERIALS USED AND CARE & CLEANING:

 Semi-Prescious Gemstones:   Most are undyed and untreated.  
Vermeil:   18-22KT gold heavily electroplated over sterling silver for look of pure yellow gold.
Gold Fill:   12-14KT gold combined with metal to give the long-lasting look of pure yellow gold.
Hill Tribe Silver:   95-99% pure fine silver handcrafted by artisans in Thailand.   The purity of the silver makes it less likely to tarnish.
Argentium Silver:  Germanium, a tarnish resistant alloy, added to sterling silver.
Sterling Silver:   92.5% silver and 7.5% copper or other alloy.
Copper:   Green to brown patina over time.
Pewter:   Lead-free.

Care of Gemstones and Earwires:
Cleaning gemstones is easy, just soak jewelry for a few minutes in warm, slightly soapy water, rinse well and gently pat or air dry.   You can apply  jewelry clearer with soft brush or Qtip for finer pieces.    Do not use     commercial solutions or machines.  After drying, a gently used jewelry cloth can add  a finishing touch.  If earrings have an earnut, do not push, instead  twist the earnut onto the earwire  so there's no risk of bending.
